Meet Angie
As the owner of Triunity Fitness St. Thomas since 2005 and Railway City Health Hut since 2018, Angie is passionate about fostering a healthier community. A lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast, she leverages her extensive knowledge to guide individuals on their unique wellness journeys.
With a BA in Human Movement specializing in Health Promotion, Angie believes that finding health is a dynamic process rooted in daily habits. As a Mindset Coach and Functional Movement Specialist, she emphasizes the importance of a balanced mindset—nurturing the body, mind, and spirit. Her approach incorporates an anti-inflammatory diet to optimize performance and health, alongside strategies for achieving life balance, including coping with stress, managing sleep interruptions, and making time for fun.
Angie’s signature Posture Corrective Personal Training program is built on a five-step philosophy designed to restore postural flexibility, stabilize and support a neutral spine, mobilize the body in three planes of movement, and develop strength and power.
Together with her husband Rob and their four children (not to mention their two bulldogs, Bo and Nellie), Angie understands the demands of busy family life. Her training and experience allow her to meet individuals where they are, helping them find the best starting point in their pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.

Sports Nutrition
Nutrition plays a crucial role in supporting athletic performance as well as everyday movement. Each of the components you mentioned contributes uniquely to achieving optimal health and performance goals. Some examples are…
Shilajit
What It Is: A natural substance found in the Himalayas, formed from plant decompositions over centuries.
Benefits: Rich in minerals, fulvic acid, and antioxidants, shilajit may help enhance energy production in cells, support recovery, and increase stamina. It may also have anti-inflammatory properties and aid in nutrient absorption.
Sea Moss
What It Is: A type of red algae packed with nutrients.
Benefits: High in vitamins and minerals such as iodine, magnesium, calcium, and potassium, sea moss can support immune function, digestive health, and provide sustained energy levels. It also helps hydrate the body, which is essential for both athletic performance and recovery.
Electrolytes
What They Are: Essential minerals, including sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium, that are critical for maintaining fluid balance, nerve function, and muscle contractions.
Benefits: During exercise, especially in hot conditions, electrolytes are lost through sweat. Replenishing them can help stave off dehydration, prevent muscle cramps, and maintain performance levels.
Collagen
What It Is: A protein that is an integral part of connective tissues, such as tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.
Benefits: Supplementing with collagen can promote joint health, support the recovery of tissues, and potentially reduce injury risk. Hydrated and strong joints can enhance overall performance and movement efficiency.
Creatine
What It Is: A naturally occurring compound in the body, primarily stored in muscles, that helps provide energy during high-intensity exercise.
Benefits: Creatine supplementation can enhance strength, power, muscle mass, and recovery capabilities. It’s particularly beneficial for athletes involved in high-intensity sports, such as sprinting or weightlifting.
Proteins
What They Are: Essential macronutrients made up of amino acids, vital for muscle repair, growth, and overall body function.
Benefits: Adequate protein intake supports muscle recovery, growth, and maintenance. It helps in preserving lean muscle mass during periods of calorie deficit and aids overall metabolic health.
Incorporating these nutritional elements into a balanced diet can significantly enhance both performance and recovery for athletes and individuals engaged in everyday activities. It’s also vital to consider that hydration, macronutrient balance (carbohydrates, fats, and proteins), and timing of nutrient intake are important factors in supporting overall athletic performance. Consultations can help you personalized strategies to meet specific performance goals.
Herbs & Botanicals
Herbs and botanicals are versatile preparations that come in various forms, each with unique uses and benefits. Here’s a breakdown of the common forms—loose leaf, powder, tea, and capsules—and their characteristics:
Loose Leaf
Description: Loose leaf herbs are whole or minimally processed plant materials that can be used to make infusions or decoctions.
Uses: Often used for brewing tea, making tinctures, or adding to culinary dishes.
Benefits: Higher quality and flavor compared to bagged tea. Allows for customization in blend ratios and types.
Examples: Chamomile, peppermint, hibiscus.
Powder
Description: Dried herbs ground into a fine powder.
Uses: Can be added to food, smoothies, or supplements, and used in herbal remedies.
Benefits: Provides concentrated doses of herbal properties and is easily incorporated into daily routines.
Examples: Turmeric, Slippery Elm, matcha green tea.
Tea
Description: Herbal teas (or tisanes) are infusions made from dried leaves, flowers, seeds, or roots.
Uses: Consumed for relaxation, wellness, or specific health benefits; can be served hot or cold.
Benefits: Easy to prepare, enjoyable to drink, and offers a way to consume herbs while hydrating.
Examples: Ginger tea, Licorice Root tea, nettle tea.
Capsules
Description: Dried and powdered herbs encapsulated in a digestible shell.
Uses: Convenient for those who prefer not to taste the herbs or deal with preparation. Often used for standardized dosages.
Benefits: Easy to take, portable, and may help mask the taste of certain herbs that are unpleasant in flavor.
Examples: Ashwagandha, valerian root, milk thistle.
Considerations
Quality: Regardless of the form, it’s important to source herbs from reputable suppliers to ensure quality and potency.
Dosage: Different forms may require different dosages to achieve desired effects. Always follow recommended guidelines, naturopathic doctor or seek advice from our health team.
Personal Preference: The best form of herb or botanical often comes down to personal preference and lifestyle.
Using herbs and botanicals can enhance wellness and enjoyment, whether you’re brewing a soothing tea, adding a nutrient boost to a smoothie, or taking a capsule for targeted health benefits.
